Tyler Raymond

Tyler Raymond, B.A. (Hons.), JD

Tyler is an Associate Lawyer with Foisy Law Offices and a LegalShield consultation lawyer. Tyler grew up in Ottawa, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts, Honors at Carleton University. Tyler then spent five years with the Government of Canada, where he worked as a financial analyst and project manager, overseeing major projects for the Canada Pension Plan.

Tyler attended law school at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor. Tyler was a decorated law school graduate, cum laude, and was a renowned mooter after being named best oralist in the First Year Moot by former Supreme Court of Canada Justice Louise Charron, and winning the 2015 Tulane Law School International Baseball Arbitration Competition in New Orleans, LA.

After law school, Tyler moved to Calgary, where he completed his articles with a global law firm, focusing on labour, employment and commercial litigation matters. At the conclusion of his articles, Tyler transitioned into a criminal law practice in Lethbridge, where he spent three years as a Criminal Defence Lawyer and Crown Prosecutor. As a Prosecutor Tyler had carriage of many high profile cases, conducted more than four dozen criminal trials, and was a member of the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service Impaired Driving Task Force.

Tyler maintains a general practice and specializes in employment law, criminal defence, most notably impaired driving, and commercial litigation.
