How We Work
Planning ahead isn’t just about distributing assets. It’s about protecting loved ones, reducing stress and ensuring your wishes are respected. Our firm brings decades of Alberta estate law experience to guide you with empathy and precision.
1. Initial Consultation
We begin with a brief, focused consultation to understand your goals, family needs and any unique considerations for your estate plan.
2. Estate Planning Questionnaire
You receive a clear, easy-to-complete estate planning questionnaire by mail, email, or in person, to help organize essential information and preferences.
3. Review & Draft Preparation
Once your questionnaire is returned, we review it carefully and prepare draft documents tailored to your instructions and compliant with Alberta law.
4. Client Review of Drafts
You can review your draft documents either in person or by email. We answer questions, make updates and ensure everything reflects your wishes accurately.
5. Final Review & Signing Appointment
After the drafts are approved, we prepare the final documents. You’ll meet in person with the lawyer to review everything one last time and formally execute your Estate Planning documents.
6. Secure Document Storage
If requested, we can store your original executed documents in-house at no cost, ensuring they remain safe, accessible and properly maintained.
